With the June exams and second term behind them, around 250 excited local children from Laudium and surrounding areas attended a Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the Bethesda Revival Church, from June 25 ending today, June 29.
Speaking to the Laudium Sun, Pastor Kevin Naicker enthused:
“We started the programme to keep children off the streets during the holidays by providing them with fun activities and important life lessons which will help them in foundation building for the future. Some of the topics that we touched on are, peer pressure, care for the elderly in our community, respect for the environment, drug abuse awareness and the value of life,” Pastor Naicker said, adding that the annual social initiative was a huge success.
