A local woman has been left frustrated and running in circles, like a hamster in a wheel, after having the heart to lend money to a person, she claims, is refusing to pay her back.
Speaking to the Laudium Sun, Erasmia resident, Raheemah Reheman, said that she was sick and tired of receiving empty promises from Ali Azghar Fyzoo for the past two years!!
“I came to the Laudium Sun because I want to let the community know that this person, Ali Azghar Fyzoo, borrows money from people and then refuses to pay back.
When he was in need of financial assistance, I generously lent him thousands of rand, but every time I ask him for the money, he makes empty promises that he will pay me at the end of the month, then nothing. When it comes to end of the month, he always comes up with new excuses EACH TIME. This has been going on for almost 2 years and it's totally ridiculous!” Raheemah exclaimed in anger.
“All I want is closure on this matter. I want Ali to step up and take responsibility for his actions!
He cannot keep evading me forever. Why doesn't he just tell me the truth? My mother also loaned him money and both of us are at our wits end when it comes to this guy!” a disgruntled Raheemah added.
When the Laudium Sun contacted Ali Azghar, who lives in an outbuilding on Jewel Street, for his side of the story, he refused to comment further on the matter, but acknowledged his debt to Raheemah and her mother, Sumaiya.
