8 DISTINCTIONS - PAR EXCELLENCE
Taskeen Joosub, 18 - (CIS) of Eldoglen, achieved eight distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, IT, Advanced Maths Programming and Life Orientation, with a splendid average of 94%. Her highest mark was 99% in Accounting. Taskeen's mother; Dilshaad said, "We are very proud of Taskeen. She really worked very hard. Her dad Shameel [Vodacom CEO] and I, are relieved and ecstatic about her results, Alhamdulillah (Praise to the Almighty)." Taskeen intends studying Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria this year.
Husna Ashraf Moosa Bhidia, 18 - (Crawford College) of Eldoglen, scored an impressive average of 92% with distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, IT, Advanced Maths Programming and Life Orientatiaon. Husna thanked her family for their support, saying "I thank the Almighty Allah as well as my entire family for their love, support and encouragement. It is at times like this that I miss my two late grandparents the most." Husna said she was still deciding whether to study Medicine or Electrical Engineering. "If I study Medicine I will go to Wits and if I decide upon Electrical Engineering I will attend the University of Pretoria."
