Patroller Goaty accuses patroller Prajay of being 'sex pest'

A feud is brewing between two supposed local crime fighters, with serious allegations being levelled against each other, even on social media platforms.

Arshaad Osman of Azure Street, Laudium, known as Goaty, of Z n Z Patrolling, made some shocking and serious allegations, to the Laudium Sun and on social media platforms, alleging serious criminal misconduct about another local community patroller, Prajay Ramjee of PAJ Patrollers, who resides on Taj Street, Laudium.

Arshaad (Goaty), who patrols the sector 2 area in Laudium (between Cuprene and Emerald Street), claims that he has received numerous calls from Laudium residents, strongly accusing Prajay of taking young girls' phone numbers from WhatsApp groups and contacting them privately, making indecent and sexual advances towards them. Goaty said that he had warned Prajay about this issue before, and confronted him about the matter again, last Saturday, after Prajay allegedly interfered with a young female family member of his (Goaty’s).

Goaty recalled to the Laudium Sun, “Upon confronting Prajay, who was standing outside my car, as to why he was sending a female family member of mine, lewd  sexual messages, he became aggressive and vulgar. Shockingly he advanced towards my car, pulled the door open and began to choke me. Grabbing me out of my own car, Prajay twisted my hand and closed it in the door.

“Terrified, I was left with no choice but to quickly drive away, because the infuriated Prajay had four of his friends with him.” Additionally, Goaty posted on social media, “Please be very vigilant of him as he is messing around with innocent small girls,” warned Goaty, “I have proof of the sexual harassment and I'm asking any/all residents with similar harassment issues regarding Prajay, to please come forward. You are welcome to contact me,” Goaty said. Goaty insisted that he did not have any personal vendetta against Prajay, and that they, in fact, worked hand-in-hand, dealing with community crime concerns.

When asked to comment, Prajay told the Laudium Sun, “People will always say bad things about those who diligently do their work. I will not waste my time explaining, because I believe my actions speak louder than any words. The truth will eventually find its way to the surface.”

Meanwhile, concern has been raised by some residents who claim that both Prajay and Goaty are running a security business without having the necessary legal authority to do so. Concern was raised as to why the Laudium station commander who was fully aware of the allegations of the illegal security operation, has neither investigated, nor taken any action against the pair.

“Residents should take note that if you knowingly employ an unregistered security company, you take the risk of being sued if someone on your property is shot by the people in question,” said a local attorney.
