I want to speak today about Quantum Islam, you know you must have heard of Quantum physics, Quantum mechanics and so on, so it's in relation to that, Quantum Islam, how physics confirms the Quranic worldview.
The Quran, is unique among the scriptures of the major world religions in its compatibility with the shifts in world-view that have accompanied major scientific discoveries.
We as Muslims know, that there are certain Surahs, and verses in the Quran which are very deep, you have to understand the esoteric meanings of the verses.
We live on our relatively small planet, which is a very small entity within the vast universe. If you can imagine the Universe, there are hundred billion galaxies, and our own Galaxy, the Milkyway is very small amongst these 100 billion. Allah has told us about the creation of this universe in the Quran—in which Almighty Allah specifically speaks about His development of the universe in the following verse:
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? Sûrah Al-Anbiyâ', 21:30
When Copernicus, argued that the earth was not the center of the universe, the Christian worldview was thrown into chaos. European Enlightenment Christians, believed that we human beings were the be-all and end-all of the entire cosmos, so our planet had to be at the center of everything, at the center of Universe. They believed that everything, was revolving around the earth.
In the Christian west One can put down this error as the natural result of confusing God with one of His creatures. Muslims, on the other hand, have always known Allah as Rabb Al-Âlamîn, the Lord of the Worlds. That means that there are many worlds, of which ours is just one.
These verses that were revealed to the Prophet (PBUH) more than 14 centuries ago are far ahead of the modern theories concerning the creation of the universe. The modern "Big Bang Theory" tells us that the whole universe was once one entity, a single point in space , and that later it was separated or burst apart, or if you like inflated.
We have all heard about the Big Bang theory, the Physicists have proven that before the big bang there was this a tiny dot, but behind that dot there was a great consciousness or Allah the Creator, so when he said BE or Qun Fa ya Qun, that tiny dot exploded and within seconds the whole of the Universe was created. There are 100 billion Galaxies. Of course it took millions of years for the earth to cool down and then we human beings and everything else every other form of life came to life.
The above-mentioned Verse 30 of Sûrah Al-Anbiyâ' tells us precisely the same thing; The Quran is telling us about the expansion of the universe:
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are (its) expander. Sûrah Al-Dhâriyât, 51:47
Now this is very important it says it expanded, the old scientists, people like Copernicus and others thought the Universe was static and wasn't expanding. But here in the Quran it is mentioned over 1400 years ago. It mentions expansion of the Universe and today we know that the Universe is not static, it is expanding, more and more stars and planets are being born.
The Quran also talks about the end of the universe: a 'death' of the universe, and its 're-creation' again:
The Day when we will fold up the heavens like the folding up of a (written) sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, so will We repeat it. (That is) a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it. Sûrah Al-Anbiyâ', 21:104
The modern scientist says exactly the same thing about a 'death' of the universe, its collapse, or, as it is called, the 'Big Crunch". Accordingly, the beginning of the universe, its death, and then, its re-formation again, are events mentioned in the Quran, modern theories have been set forth to explain what has happened in our physical universe, what is happening and what will happen, based on methodical and systematic physical observation.
The Quran contains words of Allah, as revealed to His Prophet (PBUH), and these do not contradict modern science. It is as if modern science had taken its basics from the Quran!
Our interpretation of the Qur'anic verses, when related to our physical world, is partly dependent upon the current scientific understanding that we have. An example of that is the interpretation of the verse,
By the sky and the Târiq. And what can make you know what the Târiq is? It is the piercing star. Sûrah Al-Târiq, 86:1-3
All of the old interpretations say that the Târiq is a 'piercing star. However, the best interpretation of the Târiq as mentioned in this verse—when based on current, scientific knowledge that we have today—is the 'black hole.' Now Black hole is a dead star. That died and became a Black Hole. In the Black Hole the gravity is absolute. Whereas the Gravity on earth is perfect so that you can stand and not drop to the ground or float in the air. It is just perfect, everything is perfect. This Earth is created perfect. The Black hole is sucking everything for trillions of Kilometers around it, it sucks in all the stars and whatever is around it and then goes through the other side of the hole and probably creating another Galaxy.
So, the Quran is saying in Arabic (al-najmu al-thâqib) what that would mean, "the star that makes a hole." (Black Hole) At the center of own Galaxy Milky Way is a Black hole, which guarantees our Galaxy's ultimate death. The Stars, Sun, Moon and everything is ultimately going to die.
The Quran has asked the believer to think about the significance of the creation of the universe, as observed from our earth, as a means to understanding his own existence and responsibility in life. We have a responsibility as humans because Allah has given us life and all the beautiful things such as water, plants, etc.
Indeed in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of the night and the day, are signs for those of understanding, who remember Allah while standing or sitting or (lying) on their sides and [who] give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying), "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You (above such a thing); then protect us from the punishment of the Fire." Surah ÂlʿImrân, 3:190-191
It is important for us to understand these words, why we have been created why we have been given this water and the plants and everything else, everything in perfection.
We as humans try to explain—with the ultimately limited science that we have—what has happened, and what is happening now in the universe. But all of our theories and explanation do not go beyond what the Quran tells us. Concurrent with the Qur'anic "signs" in the heavens is the modern scientific understanding that the whole universe was previously one entity and that then the "big bang," or the inflation, took place. Has any single one of mankind witnessed what happened? Of course not! There were no human beings at that time. So, how then could a scientist expect the end of the universe and its re-formation again, unless he had specifically 'read' in the physical world the same as what is mentioned in the revealed Qur'anic verse, quoted above, Sûrat Al-Anbiyâ', 21:104!
We are living in a special time, wherein the secrets of the Cosmos since 1400 years ago continuously unveiled before us. New things are being exposed through Quantum physics and quantum mechanics through scientific experiments , it's all being proven what the Quran said and String Theory, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity and the Multiverse model have revolutionized our understanding of creation itself.
There could be no better time to expound on the fascinating Night Journey and Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) . Isra and Miraj Using tools of Relativistic and Quantum physics, we are now in a position to understand the nature of the Mi'raj, the nature of the Cosmos and the nature of the Blessed Prophet (PBUH) himself.
This wasn't possible previously when physics and cosmology were in their infancy. Our predecessors had to suffice themselves with the symbolic descriptions of the Mi'raj.
On the contrary, we are standing at the cusp of a new revolution in Science when what was considered the domain of theology and spirituality has now entered the scientific discussion.
The Prophet's Night Ascension or I|sra and Miraj was literally the inauguration of a new scientific age. The Prophet (PBUH) is not only the Last Prophet to Humanity but also the Inaugurator of the Scientific Age". You know lot of things the Prophet himself did were coming from a person who was unlettered, it's a miracle in itself, I mean how did the Prophet know all these things?. It was revealed to him by Allah. And this event of Isra and Miraj is the best representation of that. The Prophet (PBUH) visits Jerusalem as it exists in a Parallel Universe riding on the Buraq or (Energy of a Lightning Beam). The Prophet (PBUH) was taken by angel Gibriel on a light beam, now you know light travels at the speed of about 300,000 kilometers per second but what the Prophet was riding on was even faster then that because Allah can do anything , if he can create from a tiny dot hundreds of billions of galaxies, it is in his power to transport the Prophet (PBUH) even faster then the speed of light to the destination where he came within a bows distance between himself and Allah
The Prophet (PBUH) is presented with various options in the course of his journey, and His choices determine the course of History.
Thus the Mi'raj resolves the millennium old debate of how to reconcile God's pre knowledge with our Free will. The Prophet(PBUH) sees Syedna Moosa (pbuh) in a super postion, first in his grave near Mount Sinai, then in Jerusalem and lastly in a parallel universe.
Surah Najm (The Chapter of the Star) contains the entire narrative of the Mi'raj. Allah Most High takes an oath by a collapsing/dying star, which in modern astrophysics is a Black Hole- a region of infinite density and a portal to other parallel universes. That means if you go through the Black hole to the other side, there are universes. The Prophet (PBUH) sees the future of the cosmos , he was shown everything by Allah because he was brought there, because he wanted to show him how the Cosmos and how everything was created, he sees the future of the Cosmos, the Recurrence of the whole creation process, Allah shows him the whole process of creation, the Prophets he encounters in the parallel universes all represent the different stages of the modern era. He meets Moosa, Nuh and Ibrahim A.S.
Could our physical universe really be just one of a huge number of parallel universes branching out to infinity? If there are so many worlds, why do we perceive just one of them? Qur'anic cosmology answers "Why not?" If quantum physics is correct, Allah is Lord of the Worlds not just in the sense of having created an enormous number of suns and planets, but also in the sense of unfolding a multiplicity of worlds, as part of the very process of creation.
Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the difference of night and day are tokens (of His Sovereignty) for men of understanding, sūrat āl ʿim'rān Ver 190
Quran enjoins mankind to reflect, reason and ponder so that the Will of God becomes clear. A search for Divine Will is thus a passion for a person of faith (one who always lives with the consciousness of God, surrenders himself and has become a vehicle for His Will). When you surrender yourself completely and reached total Tawakkul total Imaan Allah will open up channels for you, when you expound love you will make things easier and calm. It is the nectar that sustains such a person through this life. "Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, in the alteration of night and day, in the sailing of ships through the oceans for the benefit of humankind…. In the change of winds, and the clouds which trail them, under their power between the heavens and the earth, in these are Signs for a people who think and reflect. Qur'an (2:164)
Now I brought up this today, it is a heavy subject, but we have seen that we Muslims have fallen 6 to 7 hundred years behind what the West has developed. The West took from us, I mean Muslims are the originators of the Mathematics, of Science, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy. It was all developed during the Golden age of Muslims, but around about the years 1400 - 1500, we lost it, we allowed the western world to jump ahead of us where as we have become superstitious, we believe in superstitions, we believe in non-sensical things and we do things that are totally against the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah. It's time for us to get rid of false beliefs and stop following illiterate and divisive scholars and teachers.
I implore our brothers and sisters, our Imaams and teachers to follow in the footsteps of our great scholars and scientists such as Al-Biruni, Ibn Al Arabi, Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Al-Kindi , Imam Ghazzali and many, many hundreds of others, very highly developed beings past and present, so that we come out of the age of Jahiliyah and extremism and spread the glory of Islam to all mankind.
Extremism and fanaticism is borne out of ignorance. An ignorant person will take easily to arguments and fights and pick up a weapon, an educated person will use his head and knowledge, to calm the situation. Acquiring Ilm and knowledge will equip us to bring peace to the entire world because Islam means Peace..
